The 2026 Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program season is now underway.
Thank you for your interest in the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP).
Due to demand, THURSTON COUNTY is WAITLIST ONLY as of 5/7/2026.
If you would like to be put on the waitlist, continue with filling out the application linked below. If there is more availability later in the season, you will be sent a SFMNP card on a first-come, first-served basis.
We continue to have availability in Lewis and Mason counties. We also continue to have availability for Squaxin, Skokomish, Chehalis, Nisqually, and Cowlitz Tribes but supplies are limited and going quickly. This message will be updated to reflect when these other locations reach waitlist status.
The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) provides older adults in Lewis, Mason, and Thurston counties the opportunity to purchase fresh, nutritious, unprepared, unprocessed, locally grown fruits, vegetables, honey and fresh-cut herbs from authorized farmers markets and roadside stands. Participants also receive nutrition educational materials including recipes, nutrient values, food preparation and storage information.
Another benefit of this program is that, by increasing the consumption of local agricultural commodities, it helps aid in the development of new farmers markets and roadside stands along with community-supported agriculture programs. 🌱
