Transportation for a Patient

Turn “I can’t get there” into a plan, using the tools and print handouts linked below.

The Problem

How often do you get that call from patients who want and need to be seen, but can’t because of a lack of transportation?

The Solution

Lewis-Mason-Thurston Area Agency on Aging is here to help! We connect patients with public, private and volunteer transportation options near them.

Services to Share

  • Travel Training (learn how to use public transportation, including out of your county, for free)
  • Trip Planner (plot dates, times, and routes ahead of time)
  • Bus Buddies (people who will ride with your patient)

Supports are open to older adults as well as adults living with disability. Many are free. Find a complete online directory of resources available in Lewis, Mason and Thurston counties below. Print-ready versions are available for download in full-color and ink-saver options.
